Students will work on developing a growth mindset throughout the year.
Growth Mindset - People believe that their most basic abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work-brains and talent are just the starting point. This view creates a love of learning and a resilience that is essential for great accomplishment. Virtually all great people have had these qualities. Opposed to someone with a fixed mindset. Fixed Mindset - People believe their basic qualities, like their intelligence or talent, are simply fixed traits. They spend their time documenting their intelligence or talent instead of developing them. They also believe that talent alone creates success-without effort. They're wrong. |
FailureEveryone will make mistakes and everyone will fail at some time in their life. Will you let that stop you? Some of the most famous people in the world had to fail before they could succeed.

In My ClassroomIn my classroom I praise students for their effort, not for their intelligence. You are not born with intelligence. Intelligence is earned through hard word. Students in my classroom will not be known as smart. Instead, they will be known as hard workers.
